Fire up the Flavor: Announcing the Inaugural Golden Triangle Business Roundtable Spindletop Showdown BBQ Cook-Off
The Golden Triangle Business Roundtable (GTBR) is welcoming the public as they host the inaugural Spindletop Showdown BBQ Cook-Off on Saturday, June 24, 2023, from 10:00AM – 3:00PM. The Spindletop Showdown will kickoff the 32nd Annual GTBR Contractor Safety Awards Season. The cook-off will host teams from local industrial facilities such as Indorama, ExxonMobil, Cheniere and Valero as well as local contractor organizations such as ISC Constructors, Newtron, Holes Industrial, Contractor Service and Fabrication and more. BBQ Cook-Off judges are Roy West, Carrie Erickson, Judge Jeff Branick, Gloria Blanco, Elizabeth Monroe and Angel San Juan.
The Spindletop Showdown will continue GTBR’s mission of connecting industry. “Our goal is to bring our members and subscribers together to celebrate the commencement of the 32nd Annual GTBR Contractor Safety Awards season,” states Executive Director, Katie Celli. “We hope to ignite engagement and place a strong focus on safety and fun because a safe and well-skilled workforce is an essential component to the success of South-east Texas.” The cook-off is a family friendly event open to the public at $25 a ticket. Each attendee will gain access to free tastings from the cook-off teams, beverages donated by Del Pappa, and Live music by PopGun. Children 14 and under will receive free admission with a family fun area consisting of arts and crafts activities and bounce houses. Sponsors for the event include Echo Group, Mason Construction, Partner Industrial, ExxonMobil among others.
