Safety Committee Meetings

The Golden Triangle Business Roundtable (GTBR), a Texas 501 c (6) Trade Association, is comprised of a broad cross section of Owner interests associated with many sectors of local business including member companies who are users of construction and maintenance services in their day-to-day operations. The GTBR Safety Committee meets monthly to discuss Contractor safety performance in Southeast Texas and provide proactive educational programming involving both Owner and Operator Contractors

Award Ceremonies

As part of the organizations slate of activities, the Golden Triangle Business Roundtable (GTBR) sponsors an annual Contractor Safety Awards program. That program recognizes the safety performance of the Contractor subscriber members to the GTBR through a nominations process by the Owner member companies they serve. Safety Awards are awarded in eleven (11) Finalist categories

NOMINEES

Annually in January, GTBR Host Companies nominate resident contractors for the GTBR Contractor Safety Awards based on their demonstration of an exemplary safety performance. All nominees submit their OSHA safety metrics and complete a GTBR awards application which is evaluated by the GTBR Host Safety Committee. There were 55 Nominees for the 2016 GTBR Contractor Safety Awards program.

FINALISTS

Contractors that have been evaluated to have submitted their OSHA safety metrics and completed a comprehensive GTBR Contractor Safety Awards application advance to a final awards evaluation consisting of in-field individual personnel audits and inspection of required safety records. There were 40 Nominees that advanced into the Finalist category.

AWARD RECIPIENTS

The determination of eleven (11) category award recipients is based on composite scores from the Finalists OSHA safety metrics, GTBR Awards Application, in-field personnel audits, and safety records inspections.

 

Donald T. Boumans Award

The Donald T. Boumans Award is the premier GTBR Safety Award that is presented to the Finalists Award recipient with the highest overall score among all the Finalist Award recipients.
